This site stores as little as it can to run accounts, shares and moderation. It does not sell, rent or share your information with anyone, shows no advertising and uses no third-party analytics or trackers.

Without an account

Reading the site needs no account. The server sees your IP address to answer requests:

• Rate limits keep counts per address in memory only, for at most a day; they are gone when the service restarts.
• Download counts are de-duplicated per share per day. For visitors who are not signed in, the address is combined with a random salt that changes every day (a keyed hash) and only that hash is stored. When the day ends the salt and the day's hashes are deleted, so they cannot be linked back to an address afterwards, even by us.
• Server and proxy logs record requests. Retention: open decision.

The light/dark theme choice is kept in your own browser (local storage), not on the server.

With an account

When you sign in with Discord or Battle.net we receive and store:

• the provider's account id and your Discord username or BattleTag (we do not receive passwords, e-mail addresses or friends lists);
• your display name on this site (you can change it);
• whether you chose to show your Discord username or BattleTag next to your name (off unless you turn it on);
• if you choose a character to show, only that character's name, realm, region and game edition. The character list Battle.net returns is held in memory for at most 15 minutes so you can pick one, then discarded;
• when your account was created and last used.

Access tokens from Discord and Battle.net are used once to read the details above and are never stored. Your session is a signed cookie in your browser.

What you publish

Shares, comments, ratings and flags are linked to your account. Shares and comments are public and dedicated to the public domain (see the content license); ratings are shown only as totals; flags are seen only by moderators.

Moderation records

To enforce the acceptable use policy we keep a log of moderation actions (who did what to which item or account, and when, with the reason given), suspensions and their reasons, and appeals. Retention: open decision.

Deleting things

• Deleting a share hides it at once; you can undo that for 30 days, after which it is permanently deleted.
• You can delete your own comments at any time.
• To have your account and everything linked to it removed, contact the administrator. How long backups keep deleted data: open decision.
