Assisted Combat Suggestion

Classic EraTBC AnniversaryClassic progressionForeverRetail
  • Not available on that edition (the reason is in the tooltip)
  • Depends on the setting, your class or another addon (details in the tooltip)

What it does

Checks whether Blizzard's Assisted Combat is suggesting the spell you choose as your next cast. With no spell chosen, it matches whenever Assisted Combat suggests anything.

Why you might use it

Matches when Blizzard's Assisted Combat suggests a spell as your next cast; leave the spell empty to match whenever it suggests anything. Use it to build on Blizzard's rotation rather than replace it: follow its suggestion in one step and put your own priorities, such as an interrupt or a defensive, above it. Assisted Combat is a Retail feature; where it is not offered for this character or spec, or the suggestion cannot be read, the condition is unavailable rather than false. See also Assisted Combat Available.

Example

Assisted Combat suggests Mortal Strike

Settings

What each setting in the condition editor means, from the game's own help.

Matches when Blizzard's Assisted Combat suggests this spell as the next cast. An override counts as its base spell, and the base spell as its override. With no spell chosen, matches whenever Assisted Combat suggests anything.

Assisted Combat exists on Retail (and is declared on Forever). Where the game does not offer it, for this character or specialization, or the suggestion cannot be read, this condition is unavailable rather than false, including under NOT.

The icon next to the spell name will automatically update to display the spell that is currently selected. You can drag a new spell from your spell book or action bars into this icon slot to replace your selected spell.

Use this exact spell rank - Unticked (the default), any rank of the spell matches. Ticked, only the rank you chose matches. (only on Classic Era, TBC Anniversary, Forever)

Spell - This is a specific spell used in this condition. You may drag this spell from your spell book or action bars into the input field or spell icon to set this value. This input field has prediction enabled, so you do not have to type the full spell name, just select from the prediction frame when it appears.
