Spell Proc Glow

Classic EraTBC AnniversaryClassic progressionForeverRetail
  • Not available on that edition (the reason is in the tooltip)
  • Depends on the setting, your class or another addon (details in the tooltip)

What it does

Checks if the game is showing the activation glow, the golden border of a proc, on the spell you choose.

Why you might use it

Cast a spell the moment it lights up. The game answers directly, so the glow still reads in combat on Retail and WoW Forever, where the buff behind the proc can be hidden from addons. Choose the spell as it appears on your bars; its base and override forms are checked too. If the game cannot answer, the condition is unavailable, never simply false. See also Spell Available and Buff Present.

Example

Execute is glowing with a proc

Settings

What each setting in the condition editor means, from the game's own help.

Matches while the game shows the activation glow on this spell, the golden border an action button gets when a proc makes the spell castable or stronger. It asks the game directly, so it still reads when the buff behind the proc is hidden from addons in combat. Choose the spell as it appears on your bars; its base and override forms are checked too. Unavailable, never simply false, if the game cannot answer.

The icon next to the spell name will automatically update to display the spell that is currently selected. You can drag a new spell from your spell book or action bars into this icon slot to replace your selected spell.

Use this exact spell rank - Unticked (the default), any rank of the spell matches. Ticked, only the rank you chose matches. (only on Classic Era, TBC Anniversary, Forever)

Spell - This is a specific spell used in this condition. You may drag this spell from your spell book or action bars into the input field or spell icon to set this value. This input field has prediction enabled, so you do not have to type the full spell name, just select from the prediction frame when it appears.
