- Not available on that edition (the reason is in the tooltip)
- Depends on the setting, your class or another addon (details in the tooltip)
What it does
Checks if the unit specified is farther away than melee range. A unit that does not exist does not match, and when the distance cannot be told for certain the condition is unavailable.
Why you might use it
Checks whether a unit is farther away than melee reach. Use it for gap closers and ranged fillers, such as Charge, Heroic Throw or Feral Charge when your target is out of reach, or for a Classic Hunter choosing between Raptor Strike and ranged shots. Where the game's own melee range check is not available, the addon estimates from range brackets, and if the estimate straddles the boundary the condition is unavailable rather than guessed. See also Distance and Spell In Range.
Example
your target is beyond melee range
Settings
What each setting in the condition editor means, from the game's own help.
Unit - The unit this condition uses as the target of comparison.
Uses the native Attack range check when available. Otherwise it uses LibRangeCheck's public interval to distinguish close range from beyond five yards; that estimate does not prove exact melee geometry for every target. An interval spanning the boundary, missing data or restricted data stays unavailable, including under NOT.
