Player State

Classic EraTBC AnniversaryClassic progressionForeverRetail
  • Not available on that edition (the reason is in the tooltip)
  • Depends on the setting, your class or another addon (details in the tooltip)

What it does

Checks if you are in the state you choose: mounted, swimming, flying, falling, in a rested area, dead or a ghost.

Why you might use it

Pick the rotation, or hold a spell back, by how you are moving or whether you are alive. For example, a switch condition can give a mounted rotation that casts nothing while you travel, or stop a long channel while you are falling or swimming. Dead means you have died and have not yet released your spirit; Ghost means you have released it; In a Rested Area is an inn or a capital city. A state the game cannot report right now is unavailable, never simply false, even under NOT. Being stealthed, outdoors and in control of your character have their own conditions, and Is Dead or Ghost tests any unit. See also Stealth, Outdoors and In Control.

Settings

What each setting in the condition editor means, from the game's own help.

Matches while you are in the chosen state. Mounted, swimming (at the surface or under water), flying, falling and in a rested area (an inn or a capital city) describe where you are and how you move. Dead means you have died and not yet released your spirit; Ghost means you have released it. A state the game cannot report right now is unavailable rather than false. Being stealthed, outdoors or in control of your character have their own conditions, and Is Dead or Ghost tests any unit.
