Points

Classic EraTBC AnniversaryClassic progressionForeverRetail
  • Not available on that edition (the reason is in the tooltip)
  • Depends on the setting, your class or another addon (details in the tooltip)

What it does

Checks how many points, such as combo points, holy power or arcane charges, the unit specified has, compared with the number you set. A negative number compares how many points the unit is short of its maximum instead.

Why you might use it

Compare your combo points or class points: combo points for Rogues and Feral Druids, and on later editions resources such as Soul Shards, Chi, Arcane Charges or Holy Power, depending on edition and specialization. The classic use is spending a finisher such as Eviscerate, Rip or Kidney Shot at 5 points, or building one more point before refreshing Slice and Dice; a negative value compares points missing from the maximum. On Retail and Forever it works only for resources the game never hides; any other is unavailable. See also Power and Runes.

Example

your point total is greater than or equal to 5

Settings

What each setting in the condition editor means, from the game's own help.

Unit - The unit this condition uses as the target of comparison.

Operator - How to compare Points with the Points value. This comparison uses basic mathematical comparison operations.

Points - The number of combo points Unit currently has. Combo points are a statistic that is class (and sometimes spec or form) specific (eg. Mages have Arcane Charges). If this number is negative, it means the point deficit (from max points).
