Conditions.talent.text

dependency

Call as

Conditions.talent.text(parent, message)

Record the dependency Conditions.talent.text, then call it by that name. A namespaced call does not pass self: use a colon call or pass the object yourself.

What it does

Adds a full-width explanatory label to a talent condition editor.

Arguments

NameTypeWhat it does
parenttableCondition widget group the control is added to.
messagestringText to show.

Returns

Nothing.

Editions

Built In helpers are registered on every edition. What differs is the game API they read; where one is missing the helper falls back or returns nil with a reason.

It reads no game API directly.

How the addon calls it

  • Talent (widget)
else text(parent,L["This client uses a different talent system. This reference is preserved but cannot be evaluated."]) end
  • Conditions.talent.gridWidget
text(parent,L["This reference belongs to another talent layout. Selecting a talent explicitly replaces it; viewing does not convert it."])
  • Conditions.talent.traitsWidget
text(parent,L["This reference belongs to another talent layout. Selecting a talent explicitly replaces it; viewing does not convert it."])
  • Conditions.talent.treePicker
else text(parent,L['This client does not expose a Classic talent-tree layout. The saved tree reference is preserved.']) end

Source

Conditions/talent.lua, line 127. Read only in game; Duplicate makes an editable copy.

Conditions.talent.text(parent, message)
    local label=addon:CreateConditionLabel();label:SetFullWidth(true);label:SetText(message);parent:AddChild(label)
