Mana Count Within Range

Classic EraTBC AnniversaryClassic progressionForeverRetail
  • Not available on that edition (the reason is in the tooltip)
  • Depends on the setting, your class or another addon (details in the tooltip)

What it does

Checks how many party or raid members within the distance you set of the unit specified have mana that passes the mana comparison you set, compared with the count you set. Mana is measured in points, and a negative mana number compares each ally's missing mana instead.

Why you might use it

Counts the party or raid members near a unit whose raw mana passes a threshold, so a healer can time group mana tools: drop Mana Tide Totem when three party members within 20 yards are low, or pop a group mana cooldown only when enough people would benefit. A negative Mana value means a deficit from maximum mana. Positions come from the game when it shares them and range estimates otherwise; if any position, range or mana value is uncertain, the whole condition is unavailable (even under NOT). It does not exist on Retail or WoW Forever, where other players' mana is hidden from addons; see Mana Percentage Count Within Range for a percentage version and Health Count Within Range for health.

Example

The number of Party members within 20 yards of you whose mana is less than 3000 is greater than or equal to 3

Settings

What each setting in the condition editor means, from the game's own help.

Unit - The unit this condition uses as the target of comparison.

Operator - How to compare Mana with the Mana value. This comparison uses basic mathematical comparison operations.

Mana - The mana each ally within Distance of Unit is compared with. If this number is negative, it compares each ally's mana deficit (from max mana) instead.

Operator - How to compare Mana Count Within Range with the Count value. This comparison uses basic mathematical comparison operations.

Count - The number of allies within Distance of Unit whose mana passes that comparison. This only counts allies you are in a party or raid with.

Distance - The distance (in yards) allies are measured against.

Same Group - Only count units in the same raid group.

Include Pets - Include pets in the count.

Uses readable positions in the same instance, or player-centered range estimates when positions are unavailable. A unit counts only when its upper range bound is within Distance. Uncertain positions, range, subgroup membership or required health/mana values keep the whole condition unavailable, including under Unless. Percentage checks require a positive maximum; empty aggregates have no result.
