- Not available on that edition (the reason is in the tooltip)
- Depends on the setting, your class or another addon (details in the tooltip)
What it does
Checks if the talent tree you choose is your primary one, meaning the tree with the most talent points spent in it. If two trees tie for the most points, or you have spent none, it cannot decide either way.
Why you might use it
Check which talent tree has the most points spent, a stand-in for a specialization on editions that have none. As a switch condition it picks an Arms or Fury rotation for a Warrior, or a Holy or Shadow rotation for a Priest, from the talents you actually have. A tie, or no points spent, is unavailable, and hybrid builds may need Talent Tree Points or Talent instead. Available on Classic Era, TBC and Forever (where it uses your active loadout's three trees); Classic progression (Mists) and Retail use Specialization instead.
Example
your primary talent tree is Fury
Settings
What each setting in the condition editor means, from the game's own help.
Talent tree selects the unique Classic tree with the most positive spent points. Equal maxima, no spent points, missing records and restricted points are unavailable, including under NOT.
Talent trees are named, never numbered: the list shows each tree by name, in the order the talent window shows them, for the class the rotation is for. Your own class takes the names the game gives its trees; another class's rotation uses Rotation Master's own list of that class's trees. The rotation saves the tree's position in that order, so it keeps its meaning when you share it.
The primary tree is derived from readable points, not the saved rotation slot. Hybrid builds may need tree-point or individual-talent conditions instead; the primary tree does not assign a tank or healer role. Grids and trait trees are unsupported.
Forever is the exception: Talent tree is one of the three talent trees of your active loadout (in the order the talent window shows them); their points are read again after any talent change. Retail has no such trees.
Talent tree names
A talent tree is stored as a number, 1 to 3, in the order the talent window lists the trees. The editor and the condition descriptions show your class's tree names instead.
